On the toyota front logo

 

i think it works in conjuction with the camera/sensor behind you rear view mirror. If you block that sensor the systems will be disabled too.

 

Radar is behind Toyota logo. Safety cameras behind the mirror are heated and cleaned by wipers, so it's hard to keep them contaminated. Perhaps you need to restart the car after cleaning the radar?

 

The front collision system of which you write- does it warn you -when you are parking- if you are too close to an object ahead of the car?

 

How does one rest to see if their front collision system is functioning?

 

I was coming back from st louis. i had ice on the logo and the car threw me off the road. i cleaned out the loco but think the sensor is at another spot, i got back on with no damage. i turned everything off

 

What do you mean when you say that the car threw you off the road? Was it vengeance on the part of the car because you let it’s logo get grubby?

 

I went to Google and found this for the RAV4. I expect the CC is the same but will check later.

 

I think the sensors are in the logo and the bumper (bumper for the parking assist, too). My car was icing up the other day and the sensors kept going off and then the assist system shut down with an error. It only cleared when I got the ice off the front bumper.
