I like how this is looking, seems complete now and not so much econobox. Cross L AWD + engine cover + hood insulator . . . View attachment 569
plastic valve cover, can we put another cover on top? Will it not over heat and create leaks? Toyota left it intentionally open for easy cooling? Hood insulator is OK as it is in the XSE but not sure about the engine cover.

For anyone modded with a tune, I don’t suggest using the engine cover in the summer months. Probably okay for winter. I saw the engine running hotter with the cover on. Atleast 10° difference showing on my AEM gauge.

How did you cover the headlight to hood gap. Looks very interesting but not what the item is? if you had added anything, what is the part number or where to get that? Appreciate it.

My last few cars I removed the engine cover first thing. I painted it and would put it on for car shows, any other time it was off. It tends to trap heat around the engine - probably helpful during winter months up north, but not for me in the Florida heat. But it is a good looking cover. 👍

My concern is the engine noise, so I may consider using a heat-resistant sound-deadening material where the hood insulation would be - any advice on what I can use? Again, it needs to be able to handle the heat, but I'm not looking for something that will insulate the heat, only the sound.

i do not know but have seen some diy on amazon that claim is used by racing cars but it is adhesive, self install. I am trying to figure out if one that is listed as 'from 2020-2022' will fit my new Cross L (non hybrid) 2024 year.

i am trying to locate a good engine heat/insulater cover for my 2024 Cross L. All i can find is "thru 2022". I looked at the one on Ali but he did not get good reviews and looks like is shipped from china, not a problem but i would like to know if a year 2022 will fit a year 2024 Cross L (non hybrid, not 4wd).

The 1.8 doesn't have an engine cover. The black cover at the back is the valve cover. Being of a thick plastic, it might have some intrinsic sound deadening, but probably not.
