So long as you use the appropriate hardwire kit for your dash cam the OBD port pin 16 works just fine. Military splice the wire so you still have access to your OBD port. This is one of the ways I used to install dash cams when I did auto tech installations.
Those would work however that OBD adapter is not a pass through. If you don't mind it's fine, but that means you'd have to unplug it any time you needed to use your OBD port. Not a big deal but it is a concern for some.
Other than that it will work just fine. Won't let your battery drain past a certain point so that's good.
I'm not planning to add other aftermarket equipment, so it should not be an issue. I have c.c. hybrid here in europe and has already many features + i would like to not push the risk to invalidate the warranty.

I bought a FitcamX. Works great and piggybacks the safety connect behind the rearview mirror. Had it over 6 months now and no issues. A dashcam also cannot void the warranty.
