Averaging 48-50 MPG Daily driving 80% highway and 20%city, very gentle on pedal, Eco mode. Can't ask for more.

 

I have had this car (hybrid) for 2 years now, just crossed 35000kms, the mileage sits at a comfortable 18.8km/L: 5.3L/100kms.

 

Just filled up my wife's CCH AWD and checked kilometers driven and fuel fill and got 18.5 km/L = 43.5 US. The average fuel consumption after 16 months and 9010 km (5600 M). is 5.3

I also think there is an issue with my cars electric battery because when I bought it it had 2 cells and now after a week it still has 2 cells it shows that the car battery is charging but I don't think so is there any way that I can check the battery whether it is working or not by myself ?

How long are your typical trips, and are they separated by longer intervals (1-1.5 hours)?

In very warm weather it takes the engine at least 3-4 minutes to warm up to the optimal working temperature; until you are below that optimal temperature, your fuel efficiency will be lower as well. In cold weather it may take a lot longer. The chart below was recorded in February,with ambient temperature around 5oC, after the first 13 minutes of the trip. One "missing" bar at minute 7 is probably waiting at a traffic light.

In any case, I wouldn't worry (yet). Wait until you fill the car up at least two times and record the amount of gas and how many km you have driven.

My typical trips are around 20 minutes long I have drive my car around 470 kilometers
