Our dealer showed us how to do remote start with our FOB,we have a LE AWD Premium. You press on the lock button on the FOB 3 times.....
1-2 and the 3rd time hold the button longer then watch the yellow backlights flash, then your car will start. He said it would work in the range of 200ft.
Thanks for sharing this @sfmurray1 and welcome to the forum! How are you enjoying your Corolla Cross so far?

I don’t have the JBL system on my XLE but I thought I would be able to start it with the key fob using the triple press and hold method but it didn’t work. (I’m giving a second in between presses but maybe I’m supposed to do it faster?)

I also have the Toyota app, which tells me my tire pressure and current mileage … and that’s about it. If I press and hold on the app from the Home Screen, I see options to START, LOCK and UNLOCK but none of that works either. Would have been nice to start the car on hot days with AC running so I can get in a minute later and go. Oh well

Afraid no matter how you do it, it will not work for US Spec unless you have the JBL system. I have purchased a remote start kit that uses the factory fob but just haven't gotten around to installing it

I have the LE AWD version. I had the dealer install the remote starter for $700cdn at delivery time. I didn't want any warranty issues if I encountered electrical issues in the future. I have two separate fobs for the remote starter.
