I used the Atoto wireless carplay for a few days on my Camry. Returned it to Amazon because there was a few seconds delay every time you press audio and phone controls on the steering wheel. No issues with the carlink 3.0?
Where did you set the unit? It would be nice if there was a usb socket somewhere unseen and plug it there.

I haven’t noticed any significant lag when selecting functions. Maps loads quickly. I mounted mine on the right hand side of the cubbyhole wher

Sorry inadvertently hit send . Right hand side of cubbyhole where phone charger is. Used a small piece of velcro to secure.

I bought a 90 degree extender cable off of Amazon, makes for a nicer transition. (GOOOA 90 Degree USB 3.0 Extension Data Cable - USB Up & Down Angle Cable - Type A Male to Female - 2 Pack (Black)

The carlink for car play works great. Easy to install and small enough to fit in the slot where the power button of the wireless charger is located.
