Hi everybody,
I recently purchased a 23’ Blue Crush Corolla Cross LE AWD. My vehicle currently only has about 1300 miles after owning it for about 3 months. However I live in Colorado and am looking to move to Washington State. The CC is my family’s only vehicle at the moment and I’m looking to tow the smallest U-haul trailer so I can bring most of our belongings. I know the vehicle is rated to tow 1500lbs and I’m a complete newbie to all things towing. I’m wondering if I get the correct hitch, is it even possible to tow a trailer with this vehicle? I believe the 4x8 trailer is 850lbs empty and I’m not even sure I would pack the trailer full to reach 1500lbs (it is just me and my wife and our 18 month old and I’m not putting a mattress or any big furniture in it). I believe the small trailer doesn’t have brakes either and that may make a difference as well. However, if this isn’t possible can anyone think of any other options? I would greatly appreciate any input and apologize if there is already a post for this same topic. Thanks!
