The Curt hitch is the best. While it is also a Class 1 hitch, it does have a 2" receiver opening so it is easy to find a receiver for it. The wiring harness listed above should be good for your LE model. Run the power wire from the battery underneath the car and zip tie it along the brake lines. Use more ties than they supply with the kit. You NEVER want it to come loose or hang down. Be sure to go up and above the rear suspension parts so it doesn't get pulled or rubbed. There's a rubber hole grummet on the driver side of the trunk where you can cut a slit and stick the wire through. (No one makes a wiring harness for the XLE. I had to get a Universal kit and splice all wires.) When you buy your wiring kit, you can also buy a little plug that fits the end of the wiring harness and has lights. It will show if every circuit you've connected is working.

When driving, just don't make any sudden moves (turning, braking, or accelerating). Load the front of the trailer a little heavier. Be sure your safety chains are hooked securely. Duct tape them to be sure. Don't let the chains drag but not so tight as to interfere with turns. Secure the trailer wiring so it does not drag or get caught on anything.

Double check all connections before you go and every time you stop for gas.
Enjoy the trip.

Hiya Group.

For the Hitch install ....videos online seem to indicate the removal of the Bumper Facia .... a fairly intensive proceedure.

Has anyone installed without doing this? as in reach up between the facia and vehicle?

Thanks.
I did the bumper facia removal to install my hitch. From the location of all of the bolts holding on the installed steel bumper and its size, there is no other way to do it.
