Tow Wiring, Four Pin

307 Views 7 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Jte
I am attempting to install tow wiring for my 2022 Corolla Cross L AWD. I’ve purchased two sets from etrailer but both were faulty. I purchased the OEM wiring set from toyota and none of the connectors match up with the cross.

Has anyone had success installing 4 pin tow wiring on their corolla cross??? If so - what did you use??

Hi haven't done the harness yet, was the part number PT725-16220 ? Without the AD or AF after it.
You maybe the first to do the harness. Do you have sensors in the bumper? Not that it matters just asking because I do.
That is the part number. I emailed the toyota dealership I bought it from and they sent me instructions - looks like I just have to remove more interior parts than I previously expected. What do you mean by sensors in the bumper?
The parking sensors and look like buttons on the bumper. You can also look at a posting tonight made by a member who is at the dealer having it done now. You have to run a wire to the front like you stated. If you have instrution sheets can you please post them it would help a great deal to see what the details are on the wiring install.
Thank you for posting great info. Good luck to you.
I attached the directions. I will update after I attempt installation.

Thank you this will help. You can do this! Good Luck
Hi please take a look at a oem tow hitch post on this forum. The member was at the dealership for over 5 hours and they could not get the OEM harness to function correctly after the install. They had two techs on his cross and ended up removing the harness and restored the cross to original condition. Just FYI you may be able to get it to work but they could not and escalated the information.
Good day

Thanks for letting me know - I was going to attempt it this weekend. Guess I’ll hold off!
