G'day All,
Rang the dealership 2 day's ago to find out expected delivery date of my car ( been without one for 4yrs) sadly as I'm now finding out, and it works a little different in Oz, expected wait time for my car was always around 6-8mth mark. Sales manager at where the car will be delivered to hasn't received the shipping manifest from Japan but as its so close to scheduled delivery,I should have it within 6weeks from now.
After test driving it 9mths ago, ive actually forgotten what it was like to drive - I must of liked it though 😂. Patience and tolerance is in Very short supply though.

G'day Dave,
Rang the dealership and spoke to the Lady in charge of New Car deliveries and she was extremely helpful on the processes involved of Our respective Vehicles.
How the Factory work's is , Only once the plant has all the Materials do they commence production( sadly it is a very popular car) it's mainly private buyers (very few fleet) and whether it's AWD of FWD and Colour can really push out delivery Times, as we are finding out.
Also they get the shipping manifest on the 15th of each month to see who is getting what. Maybe try contacting the dealership and maybe make some polite noise to see how your order is progressing?.
Regards Josh

G’day! Hang in there—sounds like your ride is just around the corner! The wait’s been long, but it’ll all be worth it once you’re behind the wheel again. Here’s to hoping those 6 weeks fly by!

Have waited nearly 15 months now, I guess if I didn't want to wait that long, I would have bailed out by now.

G'day Josh, just wondering if you have your car yet?. I haven't heard from the dealer about mine yet. They said Toyota will ring me first. No call from Toyota yet.
I think all the problems with supply of parts from all over when Covid came in, now they make sure they have all the parts to finish each car before production.
Cheers Dave

G'day Josh, did toyota ring you to say its on the line for production? Just wanted to verify what my dealer said. I still haven't had any contact yet. It's exciting to get a new car, Just wait and see how nervous you get when you park it at the supermarket. You will probably park so far away from any other car it will be like a marathon walk to the shop😁.
I have been in that situation with new cars before.
Cheers Dave

My wife has said word's to very similar effect(🤣) I'm getting genuinely excited to be honest, it's a new chapter of independence and freedom( although costly) that I'm looking forward to the most.
I'll fill you in once I get those keys,
Warm regards Josh

G'day Josh, well you might be surprised, no not yet. I have been quoted end of September. At least I have had words from Toyota that it is being built now. Next thing it will be shipped and all the dock procedures etc. inspection so forth. So I ordered it January 2 2024, a long time ago. But we do get the new facelifted model.
I assume you are really happy with yours.

I'm elated for you, so chuffed that after nearly 2yrs that you finally have it. Cutting a long story short,my wife had a Hire car recently and from the same company that makes the Impreza,it was a hybrid as well and I took it for a quick drive and thought Yuck, the Cross felt like a Rolls Royce in comparison. They aren't perfect ,but I have Zero complaints compared to the alternatives.
Warmest regards and thankyou for your communication.
Josh.
