I wonder if and when the Cross gets to the US if there will be more than one trim level that is not a hybrid.

A basemodel with the same 2.0-Liter 4-Cylinder (CVTi-S) found in the CH-R would be a good option.

It seems like in other markets there is only one base level non- hybrid.

I'd have to think an American model would have the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine as the base model. That way it keeps the cost down.

But you think there will be only one non-hybrid level?

It would be nice to have a Corolla Cross hybrid PHEV AWD version. That would be the best of the best, killing all others.
Let's hope for the best.

Well I think a hybrid AWD would be popular. I am not sure that a PHEV would be, but you never know. 🙂

But as for me , I would be happy with a FWD normally aspirated model. I might even take the plunge to a hybrid if the price is right.

Today, at the news conference, my question was answered. They are all 2.0 engines on 3 levels ...L,LE and XLE.
Hybrids are expected later. So I am very happy with the normal engine selection through 3 grades!

Also don't need AWD, but happy for others that want that.
