Congratulations. Sounds like you lucked into a good deal at a good dealer. I think it's only the L trim that lacks the rear wiper. I know the XLE has one. Keep us apprised of your feelings about the Cross as time goes by.
Congratulations on your new Corolla Cross @DeeBow and welcome to the forum! Big win finding a dealer that won't charge a markup. As @jpmccormac mentioned only the L Corolla Cross' don't have a rear wiper for some reason. What were you driving before you got the Corolla Cross?Day one with my Corolla Cross. I was in need of a car and as many of you know it is hard to find cars on lots these days. I got to the local dealer planning to buy a used certified Rav just in time to see the new owner drive away.
The dealer mentioned a buyer just backed out of this Corolla Cross L and they were selling it $500 below invoice. So without the normal research I would do I bought it. If you live in Northern Indiana or Southern Michigan Jordan Toyota is not marking up prices and is in fact still selling a bit below lists with no hidden fees.
I am still not sure it was the right decision and hope it will grow on me.
A couple things about it I do not like but did not realize until after the sale.
1. Seriously no rear wiper? I live in Michigan and winter is gonna be fun without that!
2. No way to turn off the seat belt beeper or airbag when my dog gets in the front seat.
A couple things I do like
1. Seems to get good fuel mileage
2. Bluetooth easy to set up and work
3. Layout of HVAC buttons is straight forward
Anyway hello everyone.
Hello fellow Hoosier, I'm on the west side of Indy. Like others have said the LE and XLE have rear wiper. I've only seen 1 other Cross all around Indy. For the seatbelt, my buddy uses one of those dog leash seats that hooks into the seatbelt latch so it stops beeping.Day one with my Corolla Cross. I bet your Toyota dealer can install a rear wiper. Only the L model lacks the wiperDay one with my Corolla Cross. Maybe you've figured this out by now, I'm surprised nobody stepped up sooner. But that might be because it is so hard to find, in fact, I couldn't find --among endless settings-- the one that says "cancel account". In any case, if you click on the green D on the upper right of any page and select Account Settings, there are two places where one would expect to see the account delete option. Maybe it's there and I was blind. Whatever the case, you can unclick the box "Email options ☑ Receive news and update emails" and then on the left side menu select "Preferences" and unclick all that may seem relevant. And if that's not enough, poke around for a "contact us" link and ask for your account to be removed.Well the Cross stayed in the family for one day. I took advantage of the dealers 48 hour no questions asked return policy and took it back. I don't know maybe I would have felt different about the LE but the L was just a little too stripped for me. Take care ya'll.
Can someone tell me how to remove my account?
Nothing like shooting for the top!If we get an update today and it turns out we have to wait later than September, we are seriously considering purchasing a 2022 Rav4 XLE AWD. They actually have a Rub Red model on the lot unsold.
Yeah, that is quite a skip to a much more expensive vehicle.Nothing like shooting for the top!
I am in Canada, tried cargurus.ca, only one available its an L AWD. but thanks for the hint.Has anyone considered using CarGurus.com and putting in a search? You can filter it by choosing “closest”. You may have to travel a bit, but you could then call the dealer and put down a deposit for the chosen vehicle if it is in transit and hopefully not already sold.
It seems like much less availability in Canada.I am in Canada, tried cargurus.ca, only one available its an L AWD. but thanks for the hint.
Especially in eastern Canada. My dealer is getting frustrated because he hasn't had an update since early April. Toyota this is NOT good enoughIt seems like much less availability in Canada.
I think you made a brave and wise choice: brave because people have gotten really hooked on the 'idea' of the Cross, and wise because the reality won't be so exciting. I haven't even ordered mine yet, as I refuse to make down payment just to test drive a car. I would never drive a car hadn't driven, and with all of the comparisons made between the Cross and RAV4, in the end, the Cross is most desirable if you want (as I do) a raised up Corolla, and don't mind the many compromises of the Corolla line. The RAV4 is much more car for, among those who aren't hedged in by significan financial concerns, a little bit more $.Well I did it, I cancelled my order for the Corolla Cross. We paid our down payment March 16, the order still was not filled this week. Speaking to the dealership, they cannot even guarantee we will receive our car before the New Year. They had one Cross show up since March, that one was ordered in November. We put in an order for a Rav4 LE AWD. Staying on the page because next year my wife's Toyota IM will be paid for, thinking maybe trade her on a Cross if they are available. Best of luck to everyone here who had orders in, hope you get your car soon
Actually the price of the Rav4 LE AWD and the Corolla Cross LE AWD Premium (in Canada) isnt that different. The Rav retails for $31090 while the CC LE Premium goes for $30590. Both have similar options. The deal breaker for me was the available 1500 lb trailer hitch, while the CC only comes with an accessory hitch. We ordered the Rav4 last Week and the order has already been received at the factory in Ontario. We never got any updates on the Cross. Best of luck whatever vehicle you choose. So congrats, as a known and prized commodity, the RAV4 can doubtfully surprise (negatively) or disappoint.
