Is the 2023 Hybrid going to have the Japanese styled front end or will it be like the 2022 US versions?

Its not horrible, but I like the look of the US grill.

This is from the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Press Release June 1, 2022: "The 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid will be available in three new grades: S, SE and XSE, as well as the familiar LE and XLE grades." So...if I'm reading this correctly, there will be 5 trims available...3 with the "dorky" front end (S=sport) and 2 with the "attractive" front end (L=luxury) of the ICE (gasoline) model. I agree; I am not a fan of the S, SE and XSE trim's front end either.
Now...if they'd release them already...it's been over 4 months of silence from Toyota

I looked at the press release, I can not find anything about the styling being the same as the ICE model on any hybrid Cross L level. Could you quote that paragraph ?
I suppose you could assume that since they don’t show any pictures of those lower levels, they must have the conventional front end….but I am not convinced that is he case.

You're right...the press release doesn't say it directly; I combined it with the Alex on Auto's YouTube video of the Cross Hybrid done in June 2022 too. (he states it well) No offense but...gosh...I hope you're wrong. That dorky front end of the SXE in Arctic Blast color is a deal-breaker for me...both the style and the paint color! Alex on autos does say the S levels will have a conventional grill. That’s good. Toyota must have told him that at intro. That is good news.
