Anyone used Homelink to operate your garage door?
Also, do have 1 or 3 buttons on the bottom of your rear view mirror?

Worth the upgrade for sure!Wow...and I'd been missing a compass really badly too (besides the door opener).
Looks much like the one in my Subaru Outback, with the compass in the mirror window. But that one is red, and more annoying.
I rather prefer that it doesn't work with the ignition off. If someone breaks into my car, I'd rather that they can't open my garage door too. Most work even with the motor off, and no key in the vehicle.
Thanks for the lead!

Not to high jack the thread, my cross came with the frameless homelink mirror as a port option. I tried to program and reset it and no light ever comes up like in the videos. I also have Chamberlain smart garage door opener. How did you program yours?Yes I installed a better homelink mirror than what is available from Toyota. I love homelink!
Have you already purchased a homelink mirror? If not, check out this thread: Homelink Mirror Upgrade!
Awesome to hear it worked out. I had the factory instructions direct from Toyota linked in my post for anyone in the future reading this.Update...
My HomeLink mirror with compass seems to be working quite well. Haven't driven at night yet to make sure the auto dimming works properly, but I assume it will.

Directions supplied are scant however. Nonexistent actually. If anyone buys one, and has trouble with the install let me know. The main thing to remember is that there's a Torx 20 screw accessed from below the mirror mount, near the windshield. Loosen that, and the original mirror slides up and off the mount. From then on it's just do the reverse to install the replacement one. Took me about 10 minutes after I figured that out.
Sure is nice not to need to carry the opener remote, and to have a compass on my Cross!
