Hello there. I am in the process now of ordering a 2022 Corolla Cross XLE AWD (in Sonic Silver w/dark interior it looks like right now). I'm choosing AWD for its particular suspension setup & I prefer how the muffler/exhaust is laid-out on the AWD versus the FWD version. I probably don't have much use for the AWD system, since I likely won't be driving off-road or in the snow - but it's nice to have just in case things change. I wanted something with a higher, softer ride than my current 2020 Corolla SE Sedan (6-MT) & I miss having a hatch - so I'm trading it in early.
EDIT: After having a chance to compare & test both in-person, I opted to go with my first Mazda vehicle purchase instead (a 2022 CX-30 AWD Carbon Edition 6-AT). I do still like the Corolla Cross AWD XLE also though, for somewhat different reasons. I posted my comparison/observations in a separate post below.
