Hi Forum members.
The forum also helped me to shortlist and book my Toyota Corolla Cross.
Booked on 1st week of Jun 22, delivered 2nd week Oct 22. Very long wait. Never in my life ,have I waited so long.
Dealer experience: mixed reaction. Promised 2 months, extended to 4 months.
Known, but not worth 1500$ DEALER accessory. Around 600$ manufacturer accessory.

Good things: many
Hope it keeps the Corolla legacy.
Drove 550 miles average ~26.
Not that small cargo, OK for short trips and grocery. Loved the TSS 2.0 LTA ACC etc.
Missing but not really: BSM with RCTA, rear wiper.

Not good :
A finger gap between headlight and bonnet.
Fuel cap cover (body colored) not rigid, locks though
Pick up not great, but acceptable.

Few Queries
1) using cruise say 65 miles, after applying brake, the cruise is disabled. Post that the car behaves powerless, meaning accelerating doesn't speed up the car for a while.
2) I keep the A symbol (auto stop start while driving) off. Good or bad?
3) just reset the TPMS / TPWS , may be I need to drive to get all the numbers in place. !
4) During the ignition, the RPM goes 1.2 ~ 1.4 with more noise/sort of cluttering. Then after 5 seconds later goes ~0.8 with smooth sound. Is this normal?

Thank you in advance

-- Not too long; my wait was 5 1/2 months. :D

--- Mileage should improve after 1,000 mi. break-in period. On my XLE FWD I'm getting 34-35 MPG with mostly suburban driving between 30-55 MPH on average. Got 36.5 on a 225 mile trip with 4 people on board and tons of luggage. Mostly interstate driving at 70-75 MPH.

-- Auto braking with TSS has saved my butt twice from being hit.

-- Hmmm? Don't really understand what you are saying here. If you press Reset w/ Cruise on it will accelerate quickly (almost too quickly it seems) back to the set speed prior to braking.
2) I keep the A symbol (auto stop start while driving) off. Good or bad?
-- I'm not a big fan of Auto Stop/Start.
3) just reset the TPMS / TPWS , may be I need to drive to get all the numbers in place. !

-- The CC has both port and direct injection and will switch between the two depending on acceleration. This is probably what you're hearing. Check this video by a Toyota Master Technician for full explanation:

Enjoy your new Cross!!

Thank you in advance

Thank you very much @jpmccormac for clearing my doubts. Looks to be all normal and as expected.

For the pointer 1, what I meant is. Scenario, you are under cruise control 65 MPH on a highway and you exit it and apply brake(out of Cruise) and drop to 45MPH. At 45MPH you accelerate again(acceleration pedal). At this juncture the car behaves powerless. May be I need to press it hard ?! May be yes.

State Farm Safe and Save has made me a Sunday driver.😄

Thanks again
