I sometimes hear an engine or transmission rattle at low speed, once the transmission shifts from first gear and on to the cvt and I’m moving at a very low speed. It’s as if the engine revs are to low to move the car. I have to depress the gas pedal and increase speed a bit so it would not make that rattle noise. It only happens at very low speeds or when I have to go up a steep road.. i have to press gas pedal up to 2k rpm and increase speed because if I don’t then the rattle would be heard from inside the cabin. It‘s as if the transmission shifts to a higher gear even though it needs to be at a lower gear. First time having a cvt so I have no idea if that's how it's supposed to work. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same rattle even on flat roads in low speed.
Took it to the dealership and the AC lines were to blame accordingly to the technicians.
They were replaced under warranty and that noise is gone now

Hi LFR, The rattle isn’t that loud, you won’t hear it if the radio is on and it can only be heard inside the cabin. It may very well be something loose and vibrating like what you experienced. My 1st service is due in the next 2k miles, will ask the service advisor about this. Thanks for the reply.

Same thing happened with me, I always have the radio on so I never really noticed it. One day radio was off and I was surprised by what I heard. I can duplicate the rattling sound easily, just have to drive really slow and once the transmission shifts out of 1st gear and I continue to drive really slow the sound comes out. I was thinking motor mounts at first but the car only has 2.5k miles so I doubt that was it.
