Defrost on side mirrors

I'm not sure how I'm just noticing this, but are the heating elements on the side mirrors only coming on at lower temps? Whenever turn on the rear defrost (i believe the side mirrors are supposed to defrost too) only the rear comes on.

Granted I'm just noticing this and perhaps it hasn't been cold enough when I've been paying attention.

When you turn on your rear defrost is the side mirror defrost light coming on at all?

Thanks

side mirrors and rear window work from the same button yes... did you give it a bit of time to defrost, are you talking frozen snow or just a foggy mirror?

I’m pretty sure mirror defrost is tied to the front defrost, not the rear. It was that way on my Lexus.
The controls indicate it's with the rear defrost. It's warm out now but I'd assume that the light comes on the mirror as well when it's in operation.

Nope 👎 mirror defrost is tied to the rear defrost. It may take a lil bit to defrost but it works.

You are so right, I was wrong even according to the manual. Seems backward to me, but oh well. Manual says the mirrors get hot so you could use a thermometer to check operation.

Excellent. Thanks. I wonder why there's even a marker on the lights themselves
