My Corolla Cross FWD at 1300 Miles encountered

Drive start control malfunction : visit dealer
Check engine light : visit dealer

Visited dealer on Saturday and had to drop my vehicle for analysis. The dealer said they opened a TAS case. Went on Monday, they said they have identified and have to replace O2/AFR some sensor?!! They don't have it in stocks and have ordered one.

They said I can drive the vehicle and it is safe, am skeptic. Have not driven much.

Need to know if anyone of you ever encountered these errors? What was the root cause and fix?

What was the root cause and fix?
The root cause was probably a manufacturing or installation error. The fix is to replace it.

The O2/AFR is an air-fuel ratio meter that monitors the air–fuel ratio of an internal combustion engine. Also called air–fuel ratio gauge, air–fuel meter, or air–fuel gauge, it reads the voltage output of an oxygen sensor, sometimes also called AFR sensor or lambda sensor. It's designed to ensure the best air-fuel usage for best mileage.
Thanks @jpmccormac.
I am driving the car with the errors, as they said it's safe.
Dealer doesn't have a tentative timeliness for the part replacement.
Was not expecting toyota to have malfunction at so early stage.

Anyone having the same issues?

I am wondering how your Cross is doing? I have apron 2500 on my Cross, but so far no issues other than bad gas milage due to constant stop/start traffic.
@Tracy84 : I used to get 25 average for a full tank. Now with this issue I feel my average is decreasing.

@forum toppers : Any idea , is it good to continue driving under this condition.?

Where do dealers get their back orders? From toyota manufacturer , meaning from TMF Alabama?
Can't my dealer connect with other dealer and procure the parts?

Any thought to get the AFR/O2 sensors soon?
