High Rolla...thanks for being on top of this! Great job! My take: on the plus side, it has the 5th generation hybrid system (from Europe), the 2.0l engine (not the 1.8l from the Far East), and the new multi-media system. On the negative: the styling changes they made to the exterior are not to my liking; the gauge cluster is the same (not like the European version). Coming up: the 2023 versions of the HR-V, Seltos and CX-30.

Yikes….. I didn’t notice at first they adopted that ugly bulbous nose from the Japan model. I hate that.

Bicespeak- I agree; the bulbous nose and strange grill...The gasoline version looks much better, IMHO.

I believe Toyota calls it Acidic Blast. Not really the most flattering name for a color.

Somebody needs to inform Toyota that they also make an "L" line in the hybrid!
I am definitely holding out for the hybrid, and it will be an "L" line, but the funny thing is that I imagine a lot of people, like me, find the "S" line nose even uglier than MY nose (no I won't post a pic of that). The thing is that many of those people will not realize the hybrid also exists with the more tempered style of the non-hybrid, and end up looking away...

Thanks, I kind of deduced that must be that color. Yes a bizarre name for it.

The S/SE/XSE Hybrid version looks better than the "big boar snout" regular ICE/Hybrid L-LE-XLE version for the USA, but not by much.

Oddly they are hiding the fact that the hybrid "L" line does not have the incredibly monstrous look of the one that is plastered in all publicity.

Wait a minute…. there is no such thing as an “L” hybrid in the US. The lowest level is the “LE” and I haven’t seen a picture of that. I would hope to be wrong, but I can’t see Toyota making a special hybrid front design just for the lowest level.

All of the models you list are coming to the US , but not the “L” as a hybrid.

I see, first of all, that I skipped a word, where I meant to say "incredibly hideous look..." From I recall seeing somewhere a couple weeks ago, the LE exterior is essentially the same as the non-hybrid.
