2023 LE Wireless Charging

Been having 2 issues with wireless charging on my 2023 LE Cross and a Google Pixel 7.

First is mostly cosmetic. It looks like the vertical orientation of the charger makes it so that part of the phone is never fully on the console. I find myself having to place the phone "camera side out" to make contact with the charger. It cosmetically drives me crazy and I almost want to drill into the back of the console so it'll fully secure in.

The other issue I'm having is when I do place the phone on the charger - and it makes contact - After an hour or so of driving with it I'm not seeing any "gain" of charge on the phone. If battery life was at 60% when I put it on there it'll usually be either slightly under or over that charge level once a commute is complete.

Pressing the On button 3 times to engage the "fast charging" doesn't seem to gain any battery life either. Alot of times I have to keep my eye on it because it will stop the orange blinks and revert back to a normal charge mode.

I'm using a phone case that is Qi compatible and do not have this issue with 2 other wireless chargers I own. I've removed the case and tried to charge it directly but didn't see any significant change in the issue. Also, without a case, there's no slip guard on the phone so it's hard to consistently have it keep contact with the charger when you make turns and such.

Was wondering if there's a firmware update in the works to address this or if anyone had any tips or steps I may be missing?

When I first got my vehicle I thought something was wrong with the wireless charger but kept positioning the phone in different ways. I’ve also found the best way to get it to connect is with the camera side out and charging port toward the front of the car. iPhone SE. Sometimes I notice an improvement in charge if I am on a longer trip. I don’t see an improvement in charge if I am just scooting around town. I have never heard of pressing the button three times for a fast charge.
